November Schedule
Hello everyone,
I want to send out many ‘congratulations’ to everyone who
completed their respected distances this fall… The ones I know Lesley and her
incredible marathon time in Detroit, Mary at Marine Corps and the Bear Chase,
Kristy, Jim, Cindy, Wendy, Mellissa and Deborah at Rock-n-Roll, Dani and Lori
at the Kooky Spooky, Jo Ann at her ½ Ironman, of course Stacy and Ironman
Boulder and the many of us that ran the Hot Chocolate Race. You have all done
amazing and inspired so many of us to continue on. Great Job! I’m sorry if I
missed anyone. I know Denea is running New York this weekend and I believe
Deborah is still ‘finding’ her marathon.
I’m not going to put it on the schedule, but Nancy and I
with an occasional additional friend have been running the Ralston Creek trail
from Oberon Middle School on Tuesday Evenings at 5:30pm everyone is welcome to
join us, just bring your headlamps. These runs are usually about 3 miles,
somewhat of a tempo run. I will post on Facebook if we give in to the cold or
the dark before the next schedule comes out.
Please remember that our Scholarship Fundraiser is this
Sunday at Goddard on 87th and Indiana at 8:00 am. Please plan on
attending as this is our big scholarship for the season. I will be sending out
letters and emails to the various high school coaches and counselors in Arvada
so we should have some great candidates again this year.
Schedule
November 2, 2014 – 8:00 am – meet at Goddard on 87th
and Indiana. Rosa has a 5K course for us to run. I believe there is a $10
donation requested per runner. Dogs and kids and bikes are all welcome.
November 9th, 2014 – 8:00 am – I will need
someone to lead this day as I am running The Great Candy Run with the Girls on
the Run – We will run the Clear Creek Trail meeting at Anderson Park. Also if
someone could do the aide station at Youngfield that would be fantastic. Please

November 16th, 2014 – meet at Starbucks at 7:30
am – we are going to try to run Matthew Winter again, hopefully with no ice and
mud this time. If the weather is crummy we will default to the Ralston Creek
trail from the Tennis Courts at 64th and Miller.
November 19th, 2014 – There are actually 2 events
– Katherine Switzer will be having a meet and greet in Boulder and it is
supposed to be our fundraiser night at Buffalo Wild Wings.
November 22nd – 8:30 am – 10K Turkey Trek at Long
Lake Ranch in Arvada – there has been some interest in this race so I thought I
would post it.
November 23rd – 7:30 am – we will meet at
Starbucks again at 64th and Ward and carpool to Angela’s house. We
will run a beautiful route at Lookout Mountain.
November 27th – 9:00 am -- There has also been
some interest in the Turkey Chase 5K starting at the APEX center
November 30th – 7:30 am – Starbucks again –
weather pending, we will run Elk Meadow again in Evergreen and hopefully not
get lost this time. If the trail is muddy we will default to run around the
Arvada Res meeting at the dog park. I will post the change on Facebook.
