Hello Ladies,
Our meeting was a little inconclusive as far as races
go. We just have so many people going so many directions… So my plan is to make
a long run schedule based on an October Marathon, The Bear Chase ½ marathon,
The Fueled by Fine Wine ½ marathon and Slacker Relay and ½ marathon. I will
post some of the other shorter races that people plan to do as well. I hope
that works for everyone. I will have the
schedules posted on the website as soon as I can.
We also discussed at the meeting resuming the track
sessions at the track on Tuesday’s in the spring and we will add a hill repeat
workout every other Thursday, maybe starting a little later, weather pending.
We will continue to mix our run up, so if you have
suggestions of places we should go, please let me know. I always like to try
out new places. I will continue to need
help on some Sundays to lead the runs because of dance. I always appreciate the
help!
The February Schedule
Sunday February 2nd, 2014 – 8:00 am we will
meet at the Coalton Trail parking lot on McCaslin North of Highway 128. We will
run the Coalton trail. You can choose your distance; it would be great if
someone could do the aide station by the fence we usually put it at. Please
email me if you can do it. ltkrapes@msn.com
Sunday February 9th, 2014 – 8:00 am we will
meet at the Dog Park on 64th and west of Virgil … We will run the
Fairmont Trail. I will need someone to volunteer for the aide station by the
Fire Station and some to volunteer to lead the run. Please let me know if you
can help out either way… ltkrapes@msn.com.
This day is also the Ralston Creek ½ marathon and the 5k. I know we have a few
runners doing the 5K. There are still openings if someone would like to jump in
the race with them.
Sunday February 16th, 2014 – 7:45am we will
meet at the Starbucks on 64th and Ward Road and carpool to Angela
Horvat’s house to run at Lookout Mountain.
Thursday February 20th, 2014 – Tentative date
for the book club meeting at Cindy Sutton’s house. The book is Kristen
Armstrong’s Mile Markers, 26.2 Reason Why Women Run. More details to come.
Sunday February 23rd, 2014 – We will meet at
8:00 am at Anderson Park at 44th and Field. The parking lot is as
far south as you can go. We will run the Clear Creek Trail. I will put an aide
station on the trail at Youngfield (which is about 3 miles out).
Thank you again to everyone who has helped me out with
aide stations, leading runs etc. I know my schedule is crazy and I appreciate
everyone understanding that.
